My New Dream Job

I have discovered a few shows since I've been back.  Some we watched religiously whilst in the hotel in Buffalo, like Dog the Bounty Hunter and American Pickers.  Some I've run across thanks to both having cable at mum's and my sister talking about them, like Ghost Adventures and Ghost Hunters.  I'm sure you're all surprised that I love the ghost shows.  Admit it.  =D 

Seriously, though.  The UK has some great ghost hunting shows, as well, and I always watched them whenever I could catch them.  But here, these cable stations run marathons of back-to-back-to-back shows like mad!  So today, I watched the TAPS guys do their thing. 

I like them in part because they go in to debunk as much as to prove there is weird stuff going on;  they aren't just looking for any little thing to call it proof.  But boy, when they get something they can't debunk, they are well pleased.  It's excellent fun.

I wonder if any of these groups'll give me a job? I could be Dog and his crew's chaplain, or spiritual advisor to the ghost folks... seriously, y'all, I'm in the market!  I'd be an asset!  =D 

After a couple hours of shows, I had to leave the Ghost Hunters... because I went out to get dinner and coffee with high school friends Jenny Ward and Jennifer McQuiston.  We totally closed down the Panera, we sat there talking so long.  It was awesome, and way better than sitting home watching even the best tv.  I hope there is much more of that in my future! 

The Perk

We arrived back in Mt Juliet tonight.  I can't even begin to say how weird it is, starting with the drive down from Cincinnati and my gramma's to being in this house.  Weird.  And disconcerting.  And... weird. 

The perk is that I get the big room and the big tv.  No seriously.. this thing is a monster!

It's great for watching Ghost Adventures and Criminal Minds, though. 

I Don't Feel Guilty...

about this 'guilty pleasure'.  I've been watching through all the seasons in order.  I love me some CSI: Miami, to feed my Ho-Caine habit. 

Hahahahahahaha. Of Course.

We got a new dvr box!  This is good, because we haven't been able to watch tv in months because the old one had major problems.  It's bad because it means they just replaced the old one rather than fixing it, taking all our recorded shows with it.  Sad times.  So much I wanted to see... *sigh*.

The funny thing is, we've only had this one a couple of days.  Like, two days.  And guess what?  The display is broken!  Hahahaha.  We don't know what's going on with it.  It's all scrambled.  So the box works, we can watch things and all, but it's going back.  Because it's brand-spanking new.  There is no way it should already be flippin' out on us. 

I hate Humax.  =P

My Fictional-Character Crush

Yes, yes, I know.  I am a dork.  Please don't tell me again, I've heard it enough.  But I have been waiting for months for this season premiere.  I've watched reruns just to get a fix.  Finally-- FINALLY-- it is back. Oh, how I love him. 

Oh, H.  If I ever get brutally murdered in suspicious circumstances, I totally want you on my case.  Please ?

Alva Thesis Retreat, Take Two

I came down to Alva today, to get away and write and watch the wee flat for part of the time Paige is in the States.  I was lucky enough to get uni to loan me a laptop for a couple of weeks, so I brought that and my work down.  I'm also very glad she has a TV, since the World Cup is still going.  I love it.  Today my crush, Diego Forlan, played with his Uruguay team.  I worked and watched and will continue to do so.  Hopefully it will be as productive as January was...
